Serving with Integrity. Leading with Purpose.

My Top Priorities

Accommodating the Growing Student Population

Horry County is one of the fastest-growing counties in South Carolina, and our schools must be prepared to meet that growth responsibly. I will advocate for long-term planning that ensures new schools, classrooms, and resources keep pace with enrollment. This includes working closely with county leaders, using accurate growth projections, and ensuring that facilities planning prevents overcrowding so every student has a safe and effective learning environment.

Strong Support for Teachers

Great schools start with great teachers. Our educators deserve the tools, professional support, and respect needed to do their jobs effectively. I will support initiatives that improve teacher retention, reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, and provide meaningful professional development so teachers can focus on what matters most—student learning.

Transparent, Accountable Governance

Families and community members deserve clear, consistent communication about how decisions are made. I support open dialogue, thoughtful budgeting, and shared responsibility in leadership. School board decisions should reflect the needs of students, families, and our community while fostering trust through transparency and sound stewardship of resources.

Mission

Persistent Issues

Rapid Community Growth

The rapid growth of Carolina Forest is placing increasing demands on our schools. We must be proactive—planning ahead and anticipating future needs—to ensure every student continues to receive the high-quality education they deserve.

Teacher Retention & Support

Teachers are facing increasing workloads, administrative pressure, and burnout, making it harder to retain experienced educators in the district.

Gaps in Student Readiness & Opportunities

Not all students have equal access to strong academic programs, career pathways, and the support they need to be fully prepared for life after school.
