To provide strong governance, principled leadership, and unwavering commitment in support of Horry County Schools’ students and staff, ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and become the next generation of leaders.

Vision:

District 3 will thrive by providing first-class instruction for every student, strong support for teachers and staff, and well-planned facilities that keep pace with our growing community.

Persistent Issues

Rapid Community Growth

The rapid growth of Carolina Forest is placing increasing demands on our schools. We must be proactive—planning ahead and anticipating future needs—to ensure every student continues to receive the high-quality education they deserve.

Teacher Retention & Support

Teachers are facing increasing workloads, administrative pressure, and burnout, making it harder to retain experienced educators in the district.

Gaps in Student Readiness & Opportunities

Not all students have equal access to strong academic programs, career pathways, and the support they need to be fully prepared for life after school.
